Scholarship
TKE expects serious attention to academics. Members commit to graduating on schedule with an above-average GPA, and brothers help each other get there.
Leadership
Run a committee, hold an office, lead on campus. You get real responsibility early and skills you'll use for life.

A family environment and friendships that last a lifetime, plus a network of Tekes around the world.
Character

TKE's members include a U.S. President, a NASA astronaut who commanded a space station mission, NFL quarterbacks, the founder of a world-renowned children's hospital, Fortune 500 CEOs, members of Congress and well-known entertainers. Every one of them started where you would: as a candidate in a chapter like ours.

Come to recruitment events and get to know the brothers. All TKE recruitment events are alcohol-free.
Get a bid
If it's a fit both ways, the chapter extends a bid: a formal invitation to join, based on your personal worth and character.
Candidate education
Learn TKE's history, ideals and how the chapter runs, with a Big Brother as your mentor.
Initiation
Take the Bond and become a full member of Tau Kappa Epsilon for life.
