Service is part of who we are
Charity is one of Tau Kappa Epsilon’s core ideals. Sigma-Epsilon encourages brothers to look beyond themselves, support worthy causes, and seek opportunities to make a positive difference in Oneonta.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
St. Jude was founded by Frater Danny Thomas (Gamma-Nu, Toledo). In 2010, TKE's Collegiate Advisory Committee recommended that St. Jude become the Fraternity's official primary philanthropy.
- 2015: TKE completed a $1 million commitment to name an MRI suite, a year early.
- 2019: after completing a $2.6 million commitment more than three years early, TKE committed to raising $10 million over 10 years. The pledge will name the hospital's Bone Marrow Transplantation & Cellular Therapy research floor, the largest commitment to St. Jude by any men's fraternity.
- 2021–22: for the first time, TKE chapters raised more than $1 million for St. Jude in a single academic year.
